Autumn Fest & NC PRIDE Games
Friday, the 19th of October was the original target for our Fall PRIDE Games as FFA student leaders from our High Schools are hosting an Autumn Fest at Thomas Nelson.
Due to unique timing and competing opportunities occurring across the community that evening, this will not be an NC PRIDE Games event. The Autumn Fest will continue to be an awesome family event and all are invited to see powerful student leadership on display. Bloomfield Elementary will be hosting their Fall Festival that evening and NC Football is having Senior Night on the 19th. Please join!

CAREtaking & Celebrating Students
Tomorrow, the 12th of October, begins our first District celebration of student gifts. For the months of October and November your school CAREtakers will be celebrating student leaders throughout your school that powerfully share their gifts with our community. The message on the T-Shirt is an invitation to students in our classrooms saying "The World Awaits Your Gifts." A big part of our work as educators is creating a space for those gifts to emerge!

I want to thank Mary Gomer from Foster Heights for the invitations to Mrs. Amanda Rust's Benefit Dinner this Saturday, October the 13th. An essential part of being a community is the invitation to care and support others. When we have district community members, like Mrs. Rust, that are in need of our support, I want to encourage you to share the message district wide, just as Mary chose to do.
